Mini Book - Introverts Rule
Mini Book - Introverts Rule
Did you grow up having to constantly field the questions or comments about how shy you are? Have you ever felt “weird” because you would rather stay at home on a Saturday night than go to a house party?
The good news is you are not alone! The even better news is that this ‘trait’ is not nearly as detrimental as it may seem in the wider culture. All we have to do is get to know it, and try to re-frame ‘shyness’ - or, more accurately, introversion - as a gift. A beneficial balancing of the personalities that can contribute greatly to our lives and society, if only we are able to stop labeling it as a defect.
This is the first mini-book or “zines” written by Elena Consear Ramos and edited by Pam Consear. (Pam is the founder of All Hands Art, which you can read about here.)
You’ll notice the books are penned by hand and reproduced at a local copy shop. Why so low-tech? Because we have things to say, and we’re too impatient to wait for a publisher’s approval, that’s why. And we’ve found that people actually read things that come in bite-sized packages.
If you like our mini-books, please share them with your friends. Then consider writing your own. Remember: You’re the boss of your story. ;)
