Episode 35: Each Ending is a New Beginning
Hello, beautiful friend!
Remember me?
In a May 2023 blog post I announced that I’d be taking the summer off to focus on other events and projects. Yeah, well that turned into almost seven months away from this writing space — a little sabbatical, if you will. Creative projects and their makers occasionally need time to rest, refocus, reevaluate. (Plus, it was a summer for weddings. I’m newly a mother-in-law! 🥰)
Changes are Coming
I’m in the process of switching to an online writing platform called Substack. (Still figuring out how everything works, so bear with me. 🤪)
I have so much to tell you about the shifts underway, and I’ve edited these lines so many times already, that I made a recording so I could just talk instead of write. 🤭 In it, I bring closure to the adventure that was The Accidental Muralist Podcast, and introduce this new project which I’m calling “Making Soul.”
You’ll want to listen if you’re…
🤔 curious about why and how I started The Accidental Muralist Podcast in 2020
🤔 want to know why I named it that
🤔 wondering what Making Soul will be about
Those answers and more are revealed in this 25-minute final-episode-of-the-one, and first-episode-of-the-other. It’s like a virtual passing of the baton between two podcasts.

I’m excited to explore some new topics with you that include art and creativity, but also extend beyond. After all, Making Soul can happen in unexpected and even mundane places. ✨
If you’re already a subscriber to my newsletter, you don’t need to do anything to remain subscribed. I packed you up and brought you with me! 💪🏽📦. If you’re not yet a regular, well, you can join in right here.
Muchas Gracias 🙏🏽
I’m so grateful you’re here on this journey with me. It’s been nice to hear from some of my readers that you noticed I’d stopped, and you missed getting my emails over the past few months. 💞 I think of these blog posts, or essays, or emails, or articles, or whatever you want to call them, as conversations between me and you. I’m excited to be picking up that thread again.
Still working out the when’s and how’s, but you’ll be hearing more from me soon.
Also, on a seasonal note, go ahead and hang that extra string of lights around the house. We can all use a dose of twinkle and sparkle these days. ✨
Take good care,
Pam
