"The Chase" art print - 8" x 10"
“The Chase” features one—well, two—of my favorite symbols: the damselfly. Born/hatched underwater, the nymph lives the first half of its existence mostly clinging to a marshy plant stem below the surface. Then it emerges into the light of day, soaring and darting, glimmering and enchanting, but remaining close to its home, the water.
This imagery was part of a much larger collage painting I sold a few years ago — one I titled, “Midlife.” You might not expect it from the title, but making that piece filled me with immense joy. I could barely work on it without smiling the whole time. (Yes, that’s how I feel about being middle aged! It’s the best.)
This section was reproduced onto matte paper, and is ready for your 8” x 10” frame choice. Add some whimsy and flight to your bedroom or hallway, or gift it to that person who’s just made it to the other side of a struggle… or has recently found romance.
