2. Fun Fine Art & Whimsical Craft Sale, Saturday & Sunday March 5 & 6, 10:00 - 3:00 both days; 3636 Monterey Blvd (inside the house)

Time to fill your walls, buy springtime gifts, treat yourself: Paintings, collages, art prints, greeting cards, jewelry, hand-dyed linens, coloring pages for adults, ceramic plaques, ornaments, and finer crafting supplies. Many items will be marked down. Some at regular prices. All fun stuff!

So what's this about a trip? My daughter Natalie and I have been invited to the Dominican Republic this summer to lead a mosaic mural project in Batey Isabela, the small community where she lived last summer as a participant with Amigos de las Americas. Woo-hoo! We'll be volunteering our time and expertise, and we're raising funds for our transportation and materials costs. You may not have known that Natalie, at age 17, is an experienced muralist herself, having worked with her mom on a dozen or more projects around town. AND she led her own first mosaic mural project last spring. Now we're taking our show on the road!
