… also called Legacy Projects
Definition: An artistic piece created as a memento of your time at a certain place, your connection to others, or your memory of someone or something.
Here are some examples of how art projects can become lasting heirlooms, special gifts, or creative events that bind people together:
- The high school senior class paints tiles and creates a mosaic mural that is a “gift” to future students and marks their passage toward graduation and beyond (shown above).
- A guardian creates a mosaic stepping stone to memorialize a much-loved pet (shown at right).
- A family member commissions a collage that evokes memories of Grandma (shown below).
- Friends gather to each create a stepping stone as a gift for a new couple’s first home. (Wouldn’t they love that?)
All Hands Art is prepared to usher your commemorative project into the world. Contact Pam to discuss the best way to proceed, or follow these links:
Perhaps gathering friends or family members together in an art class or craft party situation makes sense. Maybe it’s more of a commission to put into Pam’s hands. Or it might involve a whole mural project. If you’re not sure, just ask! We love brainstorming with clients, so feel free to get in touch even if you don’t yet know what kind of project you want to do.
